Focusrite Clarett 2 Pre Thunderbolt Audio Interface

The Focusrite Clarett 2 Pre features two new preamps that have been based around the classic ISA range of outboard used in so many professional studios around the world. The dual combination inputs to the front of the interface can take XLR or jack at will provide phantom power for condenser mic’s. The Focusrite Clarett 2 Pre has gain control knobs and halo LED’s on each input that indicate level input and clipping. A single headphone output with dedicated volume control is available, as well as a large monitor level control, which sit on the stylish red anodised front panel.

The rear of the Clarett 2 Pre there are four balance TRS outputs, with an additional eight inputs possible via an optical input. There is a single MIDI in and MIDI out connection to hook up your favourite external synths and controllers and a power connection with dedicated on/off switch. Not only do you get this great interface but also get the brand new RED 2 and RED 3 plugin suite that recreates the classic sound of Focusrites revered outboard.With high quality converters the Focusrite Clarett 2 Pre offers a pristine audio path capable of deliver 24bit – 192kHz sample rates. Making the most of the additional bandwidth provided by the thunderbolt technology, which also ensures minimal latency of under 1millisecond.
