The Yamaha MG10XUF is a 10-channel live sound/recording mixer that provides you with the purest, most transparent sound possible, giving you a level of sonic purity and sound quality that is unmatched. This mixer is equipped with plenty of professional functions such as the ability to record and playback 24-bit/192kHz audio, a USB audio interface, +48v phantom power, a powerful digital signal processor with 24 available effects, 1-knob compression, and an FX return channel for using your own outboard processors. The MG10XUF is perfect for bands, live events, schools and colleges, home studios, recording studios, and theatres.

Yamaha MG10XUF Mixer

The MG10XUF is equipped with discrete, studio-grade Class-A ‘D-Pre’ microphone pre-amps that make use of an inverted Darlington circuit that is comprised of two cascading transistors in a configuration that offers lots more power with less impedance. These ‘D-Pre’ pre-amps work to deliver fat, natural sounding bass-frequencies with smooth, clear high-frequencies and super-low distortion. The pre-amps come with a broad frequency response which allows them to handle any signal from any audio source without having to over-amplify any specific elements of your audio. They also help you save time by eliminating the need for excessive equalising or additional effects processing.

This MG10XUF mixer is fitted with +48v phantom power that lets you take full advantage of the greater frequency response and the high-quality sound of condenser microphones, and also works to power direct injection boxes. The addition of a PAD attenuation switch works to accept mic to line level inputs and will attenuate high-input signals that are often accompanied by mic’ed instruments during a performance; this avoids any unnecessary clipping which can seriously affect your overall mix.

Compression is an essential tool in just about any recording or sound environment and works by altering the level of dynamic audio signals; this is most ideal when you require livelier guitars, punchier basses, tighter drums, or even cleaner vocals. It can take hours to figure out the complexities of compression units and then apply them effectively; however, this mixer is fitted with two 1-knob compression controls, at the simple turn of a knob you are equipped with optimised compression settings which are perfect for quickly getting the sound you desire. For sculpting your sound, the MG10XUF mixer comes with a 3-band equaliser on each channel as well as a high-pass filter that lets you eliminate unwanted low-frequencies from your overall mix for a smoother sound.

This high-performing mixer has a powerful SPX digital multi-effect processor that is equipped with a range of 24 time-based effects that allows you to polish your final mix allowing you to enhance your mix. The digital signal processor enables you to add another layer of depth or breathe new colour and atmospheres into a live bands performance. The range of high-quality reverbs and delays help you expand the spatial quality of your sound with excellent realism and naturalness. If you wish to you can connect a footswitch to the mixer for instant effect on/off control.

The MG10XUF features a super-robust, impact-resistant, powder-coated metal chassis that provides you with an unparalleled level of durability and is designed to withstand the rigors of everyday use. The sleek, professional design is contoured for optimal convection cooling while the internal layout separates the power supply away from the analogue circuitry, this results in superior noise reduction and will further extend the life f the components inside. To further ensure a reliable performance at all times the knob control placement above the surface of the chassis will divert any impact or pressure directly to the chassis and not the circuit board or components underneath.

All MG XU products are supplied with Steinberg’s Cubase AI software, one of the most advanced, comprehensive Digital Audio Workstations available on the market.
