As part of ADAM Audio's 25th anniversary celebrations they have released an exclusive limited edition A4V in white. The arctic white finish radiates luxury and is sure to stand out in any studio or home audio system. The A4V White has the same specifications as the original (black) version, including the integration of Sonarworks, which allows for automated room correction.
The Adam Audio A4V White is specifically built for use in small studio environments, with short listening distances, and in immersive multi-speaker configurations. It produces precise and rich sound in a compact package. This speaker has a 4-inch long-throw woofer made from Multi-Layer Mineral (MLM) fibres, which are also utilised in other A Series speakers. It also contains the legendary X-ART tweeter. The A4V offers a wide frequency range of 52 Hz to 45 kHz, making it suited for a variety of audio applications, including podcast creation and string quartet mixing. It also works with immersive and 3D settings.
Adam Audio employs HPS (High-Frequency Propagation System) waveguide technology, which enables the tweeters to disperse sound with controlled consistency. The A Series now has adjustable tweeters that can be turned 90 degrees. This means that the HPS waveguide technology works well whether the speaker is mounted horizontally or vertically.
The Adam Audio X-ART tweeter is positioned in the centre of the HPS waveguide, which is constructed of a breakthrough glass fibre polymer combination that produces clean sound while eliminating unwanted resonance.
The A4V woofers are constructed from a lightweight, highly stable material that has a unique blend of mineral stone fibres baked together. Model-specific characteristics include mineral composition, stacking, and geometry. When you combine this technology with the new magnet system, you get woofers with high output and little distortion, resulting in a pure low-end.
The A4V woofers are driven by Class D amplifiers, which contribute to high-quality sound while reducing distortion. Class AB amplifiers drive the tweeters and midrange drivers, ensuring that high frequencies are reproduced naturally and smoothly. It is worth noting that Adam Audio underwent extensive testing to find the ideal components.
The A Series of speakers leverages the revolutionary power of DSP-based electronics, enabling more precise tuning and predictability than analogue-only speakers. Furthermore, the software may be modified via an Ethernet connection, giving users access to the most recent technological advances, such as filter types, features, and voicings.
The speakers' back panel includes four bands of room adaptation equalisation (bass, desk, presence, and treble). Furthermore, each band has over 100 tuning options to fit speaker position and ambient conditions.
Voicings is a predetermined sound profile that may be found on the speakers' back panel. Options include 'UNR', 'Pure', and 'Ext'. Adam Audio's 'UNR' ('Uniform Natural Response™') technology produces a dynamic and natural-sounding response curve for music production, composition, songwriting, and listening. Pure is a very accurate neutral-sounding option, sometimes known as the 'flat' setting (ideal for mixing and mastering), whilst 'Ext' refers to A Control's expanded functionality when connected via Ethernet.
A Control is free downloadable software that allows DSP-based functionality to be remotely controlled in real time over Ethernet. It can control several speakers at once and adjust equalisation, delay settings, monitor levels, and other critical characteristics.
The A Series of speakers is designed to adapt to changing preferences, demands, and circumstances. Sonarworks' embedded platform includes strong filters for room acoustics and speaker calibration.
The speakers are incredibly adaptable, with deeper bevelling to reduce diffraction, thicker baffle walls to strengthen the cabinets and reduce internal vibrations, and a flared-port design that improves airflow and reduces port noise. Furthermore, all A Series speakers have an underside mounting interface, which allows for extra positioning flexibility.
The Adam Audio A4V includes a two-year basic warranty, which may be extended to five years by registering at the Adam Audio website's "My ADAM" User Area.
