The Akai MPC Key 61 is a stand-alone keyboard synthesiser for music production that combines the well-known MPC (with a broad selection of plugin instruments) with a 61-key semi-weighted keybed. It has two onboard high-end mic preamps, AD/DA converters, phantom power, an assignable Touch Strip controller, Q-LINK knobs, and a variety of inputs and outputs in addition to 16 velocity-sensitive RGB drum pads with aftertouch. The device also comes equipped with all the tools and features needed to customise sounds and generate ideas.
