The Allen & Heath Xone:96 is a new 4-channel DJ mixer that inherits the same audio architecture as the Xone:92 mixer but with brand new state-of-the-art digital connectivity as well as a detailed analogue sound that only the Xone range can deliver. This professional DJ mixer is perfect for club installations, home DJ setups, as well as mobile and traveling DJs.
The Xone:96 is Allen & Heath’s most advanced DJ mixer and has been re-engineered to give you the legendary Xone sound in the most versatile format. The Xone:96 comes with the same intuitive layout as the Xone:92 but with some additional controls for the stereo return channels A and B such as a 3-band parametric EQ and channel faders for smoothly dialing in your outboard effects processors and gives you even more control for styling your sound. The four main stereo input channels come fitted with the industry standard Xone 4-band EQ allowing you to precisely control high, mid, low-mid, and low frequencies.
The Xone 96 mixer comes equipped with a dual 32-bit 24-channel USB soundcard with Traktor Scratch certification which allows for seamless integration with Traktor DVS DJ setups. There are dual independent USB ports each with six stereo inputs and outputs which gives seamless DJ change-overs and grants a wide range of routing options while the enhanced 96kHz/32-bit processor provides you with the best audio quality possible.
This highly-advanced mixer features dual Xone VCF filters which come with the classic Allen & Heath sonic signature letting you take your performances to the next level. The two filters offer high-pass, band-pass, and low-pass filtering options as well as a resonance control and frequency sweep control. Brand new to the Xone filters is a Crunch control, a powerful harmonic distortion effect that is positioned pre-filter in the circuit board giving you a powerful new effect. Also, each of the six channels can be routed to either filter in parallel or independently.
The rear of the Xone 96 comes equipped with a wealth of connectivity options. The four main channels feature line and phono RCA inputs for media players and turntables as well as two stereo ¼-inch TRS send connections, four stereo ¼-inch TRS return connections and a dedicated master insert. Send one is equipped with a switchable line to Hi-Z level option which means you can easily incorporate instrument effects processors such as guitar pedals. There is also an X-Link connection which lets you connect Xone:K DJ controllers to the mixer giving you hands-free control over your software, this means you can leave your computer USB ports open for additional equipment while a 5-pin MIDI connection lets you connect external MIDI equipment for live performances.
Each of the four main channels is fitted with 60mm linear VCA channel faders which are perfectly balanced to give you a smooth performance and precise control over your mixes. The crossfader comes equipped with the industry favourite Innofader mini and has fader cut adjustments giving you the sharpest cuts ever which is perfect for scratching and juggling hot cues across multiple channels.
There are dual headphone monitoring outputs that work independently of each other; when combined with the dual soundcards these let you efficiently perform back to back DJ sets as well as smooth DJ transitions. The dedicated booth output with 3-band EQ allows you to monitor the system perfectly so you always know what is going on in your mix.
