The FBT Vertus CS1000 Speaker System aims to provide a combination of maximum performance with a modular approach making it a premium choice for live PA performances. The robust, lightweight construction mixed with FBT’s well-known engineering and elegance makes this a system that delivers high-quality sound and controlled directivity. The CS1000’s design means it can be easily set up on stage or integrated discreetly into an existing setup.
The Vertus CS1000 professional system uses a bi-amplified design that consists of a passive mounted satellite speaker and a 12” bass reflex subwoofer that link together via a Neutrik SPEAKON connector and also plays host to six, full-range, 3” neodymium drivers. On the rear of the subwoofer sits the high-grade Class-D, two channel amplifier with a switch-mode power supply that distributes 600W RMS to the subwoofer and 400W RMS to the satellite for optimum performance. The rear of the subwoofer also hosts a storage compartment that will securely hold the satellite speaker and its mounting pole for easy storage and transportation, a locking system keeps all of this in place safely and securely.
FBT are infamous for their innovative, effective engineering and the Vertus CS1000 mounting pole is a prime example of this. Using three sections, the pole allows the satellite height to be altered to suit your needs and a unique custom joint provides vertical adjustment to ensure decent coverage in every venue. The slim proportions of the satellite have a wide horizontal dispersion of 110° and the precise placement of the six 3” drivers form a J-array that create a vertical distribution of 30°, this means that no listener is left untouched by the Vertus CS1000.
FBT have taken a modular approach with this speaker system; two CS1000s can be used in parallel with each other to form a coherent and much more powerful solution if needs be. You can stack the two subwoofers and lock the two satellites together end-to-end via optional hardware when this is done the maximum SPL of the system is raised by 6dB. Vertical dispersion also expands to 40° when two systems are linked, but horizontal dispersion remains consistent.
The subwoofer and satellite are enclosed in Birch plywood ensuring brilliant build quality. The subwoofer comes equipped with aluminium handles and a rubber insert, guaranteeing a comfortable grip meaning transporting the whole system is convenient and easy to do. The fanless amplifier is kept protected thanks to diecast aluminium, while the onboard DSP offers eight dedicated presets, each shaped by FBT’s long experience in crafting proprietary algorithms to suit any requirement you need.
