The Korg Kross 2 expands upon its polyphony allowing you to reach anywhere between 80 to 120 voices and is equipped with 1075 pre-programmed sounds. This includes multi-layered pianos, electric pianos, thick strings, and a range of drum kits that work well within any genre of music. The extensive collection of preset sounds covers everything you need for live performances and music production. 128MB of built-in expansion PCM memory allows you to create and store your own sounds enabling you to meet the needs of your production and performance styles.

There is also a powerful DSP which lets you use up to seven effects simultaneously, five as insert effects and two as master effects. A total of 134 high-quality effects provide you with a range of standard effects such as delay, reverb, amp modelling, a vocoder, and a vintage FX unit.

A newly equipped unique sampling function provides you with 16 playable pads that allow you to record the input from the Line In Jack and assign a stereo sample of up to 14 seconds to each pad. Four pads can be triggered simultaneously, and you can edit each sample waveform with functions such as start/end loop point settings, normalise, and even resample. You can also load audio files directly from an SD card and assign them to the sample pads.

An intuitive, user-friendly layout ensures you get rapid access to your desired sounds and functions while a real-time control section gives you direct access to the Kross 2’s main parameters without the need to navigate through endless menus. A category dial provides you with the ability to immediately find the sounds you’re looking for among the huge range that is available. Simply choose the type of sound such as piano or organ and make your selection.

The portability of the Kross 2 is impressive, the lightweight has been reduced from 4.3kg down to 3.8kg and offers additional improvements in power efficiency allowing or seven hours of battery-powered operation from six AA batteries.
