NI Traktor S2 MK3 also comes supplied with the latest installment of Native Instrument’s proprietary DJ software, Traktor Pro 3. This high-quality DJ controller is ideal for any digital DJ looking for a complete, highly-creative DJ controller that gives performers of all genres and abilities the manipulation controls that are required so they can define their own style and craft flawless mixes.
The Traktor Kontrol S2 Mk3 comes with re-designed 5.5-inch jog wheels that offer super-precise control over your tracks and provides you with two different jog modes. This includes beatgrid adjust mode which allows you to manually adjust a track’s beatgrid inside of the Traktor software, as well as jog mode with the classic spin-to-nudge function alongside the ability to scratch. Each deck is also equipped with a new intuitive layout that allows you to perform fluidly and features eight RGB back-lit performance pads for triggering hot cues, loops, and samples so you can remix tracks on-the-fly. There is also a large tempo fader with keylock, play/pause and cue buttons, rotary encoders for looping and moving through a track, a sync control, and reverse and flex (slip mode) buttons.
A middle mixer section provides you with two channels complete with 3-band EQ controls that allow you to harmonically blend frequencies together for seamless transitions between songs, as well as a dedicated FX control with eight effects and three filter types that can be assigned to four hardware FX slots for instantly recalling and affecting a track. The mixer features long-life carbon protect fader that gives you super-smooth, highly-accurate movements, as well as a highly-intuitive layout that should feel familiar to any DJ and is clearly labeled so new and beginner DJs can easily navigate all controls and functions.
The S2 MK3 comes with a completely overhauled design that features a sleek, succinct finish that looks professional and is lightweight making it highly-portable and can be used for parties, gigs, and even clubs. A high-quality 44.1/48 kHz, 24-bit audio interface gives you the best audio quality possible so your mixes will always sound pristine and faithfully recreates the original sound source. The rear panel is equipped with a range of connections including a 6.3mm TRS Jack microphone input as well as two stereo main outputs with a line output and a 3.5mm TRS Jack output so you can connect directly to a PA speaker system or FOH mixer while a 3.5mm headphone output allows you to easily monitor your cue’d tracks. There is also a USB-B port for connecting to your laptop as well as an iOS port so you can connect your iPhone/iPad and control Native Instrument’s Traktor application for iOS devices.
