The Circuit Mono Station is Novation’s newest next generation monosynth, taking inspiration from the Bass Station II and the Circuit Groovebox. The synthesiser offers two oscillators alongside a distortion module, a multi-mode filter with hi-pass, low-pass and band-pass settings and a modulation matrix allowing endless routeing options for creative sound design.
The Circuit Mono Station provides two separately controlled oscillators, each with sync and tuning parameters with four available waveshapes to choose from, including sawtooth, triangle, square and sample and hold. The monosynth also offers other oscillators including a sub-oscillator, noise generator and ring modulation as well as a filter control section with three modes to choose from with slopes of 12dB and 24dB, plus a powerful overdrive unit with three distortion types to pick from.
A high-quality sound engine allows the synthesizer to provide both monophonic and paraphonic modes with the two oscillators controlled by their own individual sequencer. Overall there are three sequencer tracks to use; two oscillator sequencers and one modulation sequencer all with adjustable functions such as gate length, sync rate and the ability to switch/mutate patterns on the fly.
The creative sound design possibilities are truly endless thanks to the four-by-eight modulation matrix that routes from an LFO with four waveshapes, envelope, sequencer or velocity allowing modulation for pitch, pulse-width, filter, distortion, amp or CV.
This paraphonic analogue synthesiser has 64 pre-programmed synth patches loaded and saved on the unit, all ready for use straight out the box and comes with a copy of Ableton Live Lite music making software plus 4GB of Loopmasters sounds and samples so you can make music right away.
Novation’s Circuit Mono Station controls can separate hardware due to the CV, gate and modulation outputs as well as MIDI In, Out and Thru connections so you can link other MIDI devices together for live performances. Users can also pass an audio signal through the audio input and use the Mono Stations analogue filter and distortion or use the audio input with the modulation sequencer to chop, evolve and process a source sound in entirely new ways. The Circuit Mono Station can be plugged into a PC/Mac via USB where you can manage unlimited patches using Components.
