Pioneer DJ describes the revamped layout as allowing users to engage with the CDJ 3000 in a way that feels almost like playing a musical instrument. The design features eight Hot Cue buttons conveniently located beneath the waveform display, along with Dedicated Beat Jump buttons, Key Sync capabilities, and a new 8-Beat Loop button in addition to the standard 4-Beat option. Constructed from premium aluminum, the top plate features redesigned play, cue, and Hot Cue buttons, enhancing durability and functionality. It also comes equipped with a high-quality digital cable and a lockable V-Lock power cable to prevent interruptions during performances.
Versatile Performance Modes
For versatile performance options, rekordbox-analyzed tracks can be played directly from USB drives using Export Mode. DJs can also utilize Link Export or Performance Mode when connecting to a laptop with USB-HID control. The player acts as a rekordbox Hardware Unlock device, enabling use of the latest software version for performance mode, which allows tracks from the rekordbox library—including those from popular streaming services like SoundCloud Go+, Beatport, and Beatsource LINK—to be played. Furthermore, audio files can be shared and played from USB devices and SD cards, thanks to Pro DJ Link with Gigabit Ethernet connectivity. An iPhone can also be connected via USB, allowing users to mix audio directly from the rekordbox iOS app, supporting numerous file types including MP3 AAC, WAV, FLAC, ALAC, and AIFF.
