High-torque direct drive system
The high-torque direct drive system installed within the PLX-1000 turntable is sturdy, hard-wearing and offers stable rotation. A direct drive is a system that connects the motor and turntable directly. The turntable can provide a starting torque (strength of rotational force) of 4.5kg.cm minimum and can achieve a fixed rotation speed of 33⅓ rpm in 0.3 seconds.
Top-quality sound output (analogue vinyl)
Pioneer have designed the PLX-1000 to produce high-quality, analogue vinyl, sound output just as you would expect from a Pioneer product. To start, rubber tubing has been fitted inside the S-shaped tonearm to reduce howling, improve isolation and prevent feedback. The turntable has vibration reducing properties in the form of a heavy die-cast zinc casing, 8mm thick resin lower section and a 9mm thick, vibration-dampening material, base. The PLX-1000 sound quality is enhanced by the directly transmitted phono signal with stable plugs and the gold plated RCA jacks.
Tempo control with variable width
The variable width of tempo has the capability of being modified by selecting from three levels: ±8%, ±16% and ±50%. There is also a ‘Reset’ button on the turntable that reverts the fixed rotation speed back to ±0%.
Audio/Power cables
Both the audio and power cables on the PLX-1000 are detachable, which assists greatly when transporting the unit. It helps to reduce the risk of cable damage which in turn could affect the quality of the both the sound and performance of the turntable. This also grants the user the flexibility on what they wish to connect to the system to suit their own personal preference.
